We were in Folkestone for an event on Sunday night and on Saturday I decided I wouldn't want to drive home so booked online at the last minute. not reading any reviews beforehand. We paid £35 for a double room en-suite including breakfast. Consequently, at that price it would seem churlish to complain. It is true that the hotel needs... More

Well where do I start. We booked this hotel very last minute we payed £45 plus an extra £10 for a sea view. First impressions of this hotel were poor, there was a dirty little lady sat in the bar area watching a very old tv, and she didnt move for the whole weekend. We were checked in and given... More

Thank you for writing your reveiw, it is always beneficial to receive feedback, whether good or poor. I am sorry to hear we did not meet your expectations on this occasion. The Salisbury is an old victorian building, with creaky floorboards, old furniture, many staircases, even sightings of a ghost!! and this i believe is part of its charm, which is... More

Amazing Sea view from my bedroom window whilst working at my desk. The sun shining on me throughout the day... This hotel has all the nostalgic memories of the past and I am very happy without the mod cons that are based in city hotels....which often lacks character and is replaced with a clinical atmosphere. This is an old fishing... More

After reading other reviews, wonder what people expect for the price. We had clean beds, hot water, sea view, large room, friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast, prime position. What more can you ask for. If you want The Ritz, you have to pay Ritz prices. This was very good value for money. It is an old building but they... More

Rooms in need of complete overhaul, plaster hanging off walls by sink as a result of a flood from the room above. Cobwebs on walls, window wouldn't stay open and the vent above the window stuffed with old newspaper, presumably to combat draughts. TV was old and reception very poor. Bed was very firm but comfortable, furnishings OK, shower elderly... More

Full English breakfast excellent, as much extra toast/coffee/tea as needed. Clean enough rooms, bed comfy but carpets tired and need updating. Wash hand basin too small to get proper wash/teeth cleaning but only a shower no bath. Good position on Leas, very quiet at night with no charge to park on roads nearby but difficult to find a space without... More

I've just returned from a 4 night stay at the hotel on my first ever British coach trip. On the down side the TV was poor - indoor aerial with variable reception, only 4 channels and no remote control - and while we had an ensuite toilet and shower the hand basin was in the bedroom, which we didn't like... Stayed at this hotel over the new year with fourteen other friends!!! It is the worst hotel any of us have ever stayed in. Old and dirty fittings and furnishings, filthy windows, leaking ceilings, broken shower rails, soiled seating and much more. On a betted note food average and nice staff in the dinning roon. Will NOT be returning. More

Thank goodness it was only one night. The bedroom had threadbare sheets, curtains hanging off, showerhead hanging off , no hot water. The bathroom door didnt fit properly, so i could see my room mate who was sat in bed whilst i was sitting on the loo.The room was shabby to say the least. Our friends next door were convinced they...
