I used this hotel along with my girlfriend and parents as a stop-over on the way to France, and it was perfect for this purpose. Rooms were clean and tidy, quite spacious and suited us perfectly for an overnight stay. The guesthouse is literally like a 2 minute walk from the centre of Folkestone, so it was easy to find... I stayed in Chandos House for one night en route to France. The cost was reasonable and the location convenient to ferry port. Though not en-suite, the single room was comfortable and clean. The largeand well-equipped shared bathroom was close by. Breakfast was good and the proprietor friendly and helpful. I would use this place again. More

my wife and I stayed there two days en route to a cruise. small b&b but well maintained. place was very clean with an en suite bathroom. owner is there part time but is very personable, considerate, and helpful. location is good: only a five minute walk to shops, restaurants, and the cliffs/channel. we ate at two excellent restaurants. our... Nicley deocrated and clean place, everything was in good supply and well-presented. Breakfast good though not memorable. Convenient for town and easy to find. All in all excellent value. Only drawback was the way small noises seemed to be magniifed during night from outside room. Owner reasonably pleasant, though hints that he could become offhand easily.... More

We stayed at The Chandos for just one night, before going through eurotunnel the following morning. I wasn't expecting much, but thought the room was more than adequate for the price, and was clean, quiet, and comfortable. I'd use it again as it's very convenient, and I was pleasantly surprised by Folkestone (nothing amazing, but preferable as a stop off... More

I had a signle room for 1 night, before catching the ferry to France.I read some very unfair reviews about this place. I found it very easy to find, very clean room with TV,free WiFi,and the breakfast was excellent. It was also my choice because it had off-street parking for motorcycles. The single room wasn't en-suite,but that was no problem for 1 night.... More

Difficult to park. Accidently locked myself out after going back to the car to get my sat nav. Response to my apology for an honest mistake was abuse and swearing from the owner. No breakfast at all was offered, despite having paid for bed and breakfast. More

What can I say about this place! the owner is a real nightmare on the phone having booked this place for my son who had recently started work in the area, the owner had a real go at me for supposedly trying to play mind games with his staff during the booking. Customer service is zero and interpersonal skills even... More

I stayed last Saturday night at the Chandos Guest House for one night in one of their single rooms. The welcome I got on arrival was nice the lady who greeted me made me feel really welcome. The room wasn't as small as a single room I've had else where. Tea/coffee tray with biscuits and a kettle in the room.... More
