This hotel is not listed under restaurants on TripAdvisor which is why I've reviewed it as a hotel. I live locally and my wife and I choose to eat out at the Kildare Lodge, both on our own and especially when we have family or friends staying with us. I will also sometimes call in with my dog of an... More

This is a perfect antidote to the all too common chintzy B&B’s you find in Minehead! The building is over 100 years old and you get a sense of staying in somewhere with a bit of history with lovely wooden doors and big four poster beds. There is a bar and restaurant in the hotel but despite there being a... More

We only stayed 1 night as a quick getaway from London, and it was totally worth it! We had a really nice dinner at the bar, which is actually spectacular: The whole building got an amazing atmosphere and is really clean and well look after. The room was also spotless with an amazing fourposter bed. We had a beautiful view... More

I haven't stayed here as I live not far away but I can highly recommend the food and friendliness of the Kildare. There is a huge choice of meals and the service has been great whether I've been with 4 or 20 people, always served on hot plates, all at the same time no matter how big the party. The... More

This hotel, interesting in itself built in the Arts & Crafts style, has a restaurant and bar open to the public and is really welcoming and convivial. There is a wide and interesting menu of dishes cooked on the premises with some seafood and a few international dishes but mainly the best of British fare. I was encouraged to eat... More

Our extended family met up for my mothers 85th birthday, we all had rooms at the Kildare, they were clean and comfortable, if a little out-dated, the beds we all agreed, were the best and the breakfasts were lovely, we also had a big family dinner on the Saturday night where the service was excellent and we were made to... I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel, it really is home from home, the proprietors are very welcoming, and the hotel itself is beautiful and well maintained, the service is excellent as is the food. Have stayed here several times over the past year and would feel dissapointed if I had to stay elsewhere, just a lovely place run by... More

I have stayed in quite a few B & Bs in Minehead and they all seem to come out of the same Mould. I have stayed in the Kildare twice. Kildare is unique, it is a beautiful well preserved arts and crafts building, the people who run it are very welcoming and the breakfasts are fine. It is alo a... More
