It is good to know there are places like this available. Am so fed up with faceless 'business' hotels, or B&Bs where the rooms are poky, the beds old and uncomfortable, and the bathrooms in desperate need of an upgrade. Don't normally bother to write reviews but this place was worth it. The owner is extremely helpful, the room very... more

You would be hard pushed to find a better nights accommodation anywhere, yet alone in Newbury. Friendly & welcoming host (Kathy) creates a superb environment and goes to great lengths to make you welcome. Nothing seems too much trouble or hasn't been considered. A peaceful & restful stay ,with a breakfast that most top hotels would do well to match.... more

We stayed for 3 nights at the Chase Guest House during November 2007. It is only a small guest house (they only have 2 rooms) but I believe they are planning on adding a further 2 in 2008. As a result of it's size it's obviously very intimate and if you prefer faceless 500 bedroom Travel Lodges then this isn't... more

This little guest house hasn't been open too long hence the lack of reviews so far but it really is superb. Comfy, stylish, well appointed rooms (flat screen TV, wifi, digital radio ...) as you might find in a far pricier "boutique" hotel, plus a luxury bathroom and excellent breakfasts. Quiet tree-lined location yet close to Newbury and the A34.... more
