Stayed here for work purposes and shall definitely be back. Paul and Paula are very friendly, efficient, and accommodating,, and will go the extra mile for all their guests without hesitation. The bar is welcoming and reasonably priced, and on the odd night a scientific experiment may be in progress! They are genuinely nice people who enjoy what they do, and... More

Great location with views of the sea. Would recommend to anybody wanting a break with the family. I will be staying there again when next visiting Scarbrough. The Staff were very helpful warm and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. With an excellent breakfast. One could not fault the accommodation. Great for family and friends. More

We stayed in this hotel last night, Saturday 10th Dec 2011, firstly the hotel is well positioned and the views of the coast were great. Plenty of parking was available on the street via a parking disc. The greeting at the hotel was warm and friendly, the staff simply can’t do enough for you. We had intended heading out for... More

This was our first vist to the Clarence Gardens and it won't be the last. The rooms were clean, spacious and were beautifully decorated, the staff were helpful and friendly. The bed itself was comfy and the room was warm. All in all it was a very pleasant stay More

After reading good things on here was expecting alot more once me and my partner had been for our one night stay. We stayed for just one night but when we fancy another short visit to Scarborough I won't hesitate to book the Clarence Gardens Hotel. We didn't have a sea view and our room was very basic but it was clean, dog friendly, affordable, well situated and very friendly and relaxed. The view from the front of the hotel is truly... More

I travel as a single lady and I have to admit I felt that I was very cared for here. Paul and Paula are superb in their welcome and you do feel like you are a guest in their home and not just a name in the ledger. The rooms are basic but competitively priced. The view at the front... More
