The setting is lovely, but when I chose the roast dinner at £13 I expected more than a child's portion where style rather than substance was very much what was on offer. Stayed here last week for 3 nights on business. Nice pleasent hotel. rooms above the pub (which was really nice for food). Found staff helpful and friendly and decor of rooms modern. TIP: Ask for a room on the second floor as its nice and quiet up there. More

Dont get to stay here very often, but always look forward. Upon arrival you are made very welcome and the whole atmosphere is just great. Rooms are small but have everything you need and the food is very good. Carpark small, so get in early, but not to worry as free parking on the road until 8am I think. More

Frequently stay in Bedford on business and this place is an excellent change from the normal stale business hotels. We stayed at the embankment for one night in a standard room. We asked to be upgraded to a river view room but were too late as they were all gone. Stayed here as were going to an event in the town and had previously been very impressed when having an impromtu lunch a few weeks previously. Stayed here in business on the recommendation of a colleague. Lovely room, clean and spacious. No room service was available but I ate in the restaurant and the evening meal and breakfast were lovely.
