We stayed here for one night (thank god) and found it to be the pits of the earth, rooms were shabby and dated, we asked for extra pillows as the two on the bead were so thin, we waited over an hour to have them delivered, and in the end went down to reception and they were lying on a... more

We stayed here on the way to Glasgow from Birmingham. We have two young children and thought it would be a good place to break our long journey. We got a room in advance for £20, which is a good deal, but we would have been very annoyed had we paid more. The room was very dated and the whole... more

Stayed overnight, should have driven on. The whole place is run down and poorly cleaned. TV remote didn't work. 6 hairs (including one pubic!) found in the bed. Avoid at all costs, or if all else fails, bring booze. more

Despite paying over £70 for a family room for a single night, I had to make the children's beds myself. The sheet was too small for one child's bed and the second child's 'bed' was a pallet on wheels that had no way of tucking the sheet in. There were 2 toilet rolls in the toilet for this family room... more

The whole hotel was FILTHY! and would I am sure not even passed a health and safety inspection. We were greeted at the entrance by an overflowing rubbish bin and cigarette butts. The entrance hall was full of laundry... more

Stayed here to break up a long journey, so its location next to the motorway was ideal for that. The room only cost us £19 so it was a bargain. If we had paid more then we might have had grounds to moan about the shabby / cleaniness of the room. The bed was fine and we had the basics... more

We stayed here on our way back to London after the Christmas break. You don't expect luxury for £25 a night; in fact, I thought the room was pretty spacious, if a little worn. But what marred our stay was the appearance in our room in the wee small hours of the morning of a bloke with a clipboard claiming... more

It wasn't as difficult to find the Travelodge as I expected - as long as you take plenty of time to spot the signs you should be OK. The room was clean, but was in serious need of refurbishment. It was the shabbiest room I have stayed in. It was a family room but was smaller than in other Travelodges.... more

Booked for overnight stay while on business in carlisle. as has been reviewed before this travelodge is on the southbound carriageway of the m6, but can be found from northbound by following 'signs',. these are small and could do with updating. but ok in daylight - good luck if it's dark!!. the room is typical for travelodge layout. the fittings... more
