Been to the restaurant for a birthday dinner tonight, we didn't book for a table, but how couldn't there no table for 8 persons ( 4 adults and 4 kids), and it wasn't busy, just simply no table big enough for 8 persons, ended up with one small round table and one coffee table for dinner. The 2 beers we... More

The hotel is tired and in need of serious revamp. The staff were very nice and very helpful, however the bedroom was very small, carpets dirty, room smelly (fags probably) and the cleaners had left rubbish in the room. The price for a number of us staying was good and breakfast was edible. As others have said, there are a... More

First impressions were good. The hotel looks lovely from the outside and is in a good location if you are visiting Carlisle. There is newsagents, pharmacy a pub and a selection of takeaways nearby. Parking is to the rear of the hotel and a regular bus route into town is close to hand although it is a nice walk. Upon... More

Stayed here a few times whilst working in the area. Only paid £40 for a double room with breakfast. Had 3 different types of room on each occasion and some were modern then others, but were always clean. Very large car park which made life easy. Breakfast was cooked to order and was nice started serving at 7.30. Not much... More

A very pleasant and comfortable stay. Staff warm and welcoming and very helpful. The room was spacious, warm and had adequate wardrobes and storage. The bathroom was very clean with some of the loveliest bright white fluffiest towels we have ever come across. The decor though was a little bit dated and the pillows rather flat but this is a... stopped here for 2 nights during a business trip in the local area. The room was very comfortable & quiet. Ate both dinner & breakfast in the restaurant which were both excellent value & tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful, would definitely stop here again when in the area. More
