We had a lovely lunch,staff excellent,nothing to much trouble,we had a toddler with us and she was made very special.the food was delicious ,with the chef talking to us.i asked for extra gravy and yorkshires ...no problem.the pianist was good and the whole experience made dad a happy man

I have stayed here on business twice and keep coming back, what a lovely place to stay. The rooms were nice (although it can be chilly in winter), the food was very good and the service was good too. Its a lovely old building and location and would recommend it to others.

We reserved a double room at The George, taking advantage of their special weekend rate, staying Friday and Saturday nights.
