This is a lovely B and B, run by a great couple who were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the family room and found it clean, spacious and well presented. Breakfast was excellent. We are hoping to return again soon.

We stayed 2 nights in January and thoroughly enjoyed it. Hosts are very charming and provide a fabulous breakfast. The room was pretty good, comfortable, spacious, except for the bathroom which i struggled to turn around in. Location between Wakefield and Huddersfield is rugged, windswept, characterful. Just up the road through Flockton and left at the roundabout is a great... More

This is the most amazingly good value b and b. Very well equipped rooms and bathrooms and the breakfasts are of the highest standard both in terms of quantity and variety e.g smoked haddock and poached eggs beautifully cooked and lots of other choices. The pub down the road serves good food too and lots of it. Could do with... More

Stayed there with a colleague after a recommendation from a customer. Could not have asked for a better place to stay. Our room, I guess, was a family room, one double with a door through to a twin and en suite. The room was clean, tidy, with all mod cons (TV, kettle etc.)... I kept cracking my head on the... More

We booked in here as we were going to a wedding at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park which is just down the road. Rooms are really nice, clean, well maintained and a good size. Very friendly welcome from the owner. Incredibly quiet surroundings and I can imagine a great base for some beautiful walks. Breakfast was immense and very much needed... More

A lovely location overlooking the countryside although the busy A637 is at the bottom of the driveway. Our large double room was comfortable, cosy and clean with everything we needed, although the robes and flatscreen TV mentioned in a previous review were absent! The Black Bull pub is a 5 minute walk away and they serve food until 9pm every... More

If you are looking for a homely, clean B & B with excellent breakfast, free WiFi and in a rural location look no further. There are a number of pubs within a short drive plus one within a 5-6 minute walk. I would recommend and return, should the need arise. Thanks

I am always wary of "excellent" ratings, but in this case Paul & Sarah fully justify this! it is a lovely clean, welcoming and suberbly appointed establishment - they offered me a warm welcome and home-from-home attention in breakfast and evening meal requirements even proving a packed lunch. Negative comments? Yes, my trip was foreshortened due to admin error at... More

This is a welcoming and cosy farm B&B. Really warm and clean and you get a key so you can come and go as you please. Amazing range on breakfast menu and they can accommodate special diets and make pack lunches. Rooms have flat screen TV, fluffy towels, robes, information and all the necessary bits and bobs. I was in... More
