We stayed in Tall Trees on our way to a wedding in York. The hotel is well situated, about 5 minutes from the M1 and literally borders the M62. We found the hotel without any problems and were greeted by a friendly member of staff who booked us in and gave us directions to York for the following day. The... more

stayed here for just one night, very clean cheap and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and pleasant, breakfast was fine and adaquate. Good place if you want to use as a base for visiting wakefield, castleford leeds and pontefract.. Near to motorway but we didn't find it noisy we would definately stay here again, Internet access was perfect, and wide... more

Hotel fine if basic. Room clean. Bed ok. Bathroom needed to have few updates. The fan did not work so was glad we showered before leaving and not on first evening. We noticed around the area that there was a church, surgery, and funeral parlour with in shouting distance of each other. The owner told us the hotel was once... more

It is not a nice place at all. That was the worst place I've ever slept. 1. There's no internet connection. (???) I had to go out to find a public wi-fi hotspot. 2. Too close to the motorway. 3. TV stand is in too high position. It is an old and very tiny telly anyway. 4. Room is not... more

Great price and location but room was not very nice, it was freezing cold and was in desparate need of decorating and smelt of dampness. Friendly management and great breakfast. Secure parking which is well lit up at night. more

"Ideally situated for access to major motorways" I was told- yeah!, about 20ft away from the hard-shoulder of the M62 and a constant stream of heavy commercials and 80mph+ traffic; Hardly an ideal location for a good night's sleep! The inside of the hotel is in a state of disrepair and in urgent need of a comprehensive program of renovation.... more

This hotel is plenty of flies, cockroaches, ants and fleas. Shower is always cool and food is revolting. The lady is bad-mannered and racist. The gentle is absolutely disagreeable. If you can avoid it, don't think it twice. You can safe 35 pounds. more
