“Needs re-decorating and updating”

I have been travelling a lot recently and stayed in a fair few hotels, and this has been the worst of all of them. The woman on reception took forever to get to us but when she finally did she was nice enough. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal that preceded Poole's Top of the Shops retail awards this evening hosted by Wave 105s Mark Collins. The excitement of the evening was complemented by the very good meal. “Very pleasant hotel overlooking the harbour.”

We stayed here for a weekend. The staff were pleasant and extremely helpful. The hotel is small but the bar and restaurant were friendly and good quality. Breakfast was cooked to order the first morning and a buffet the second - we had no complaints about either. The rooms were fairly spacious and well equipped - perhaps a bit tired... More

“Fantastic location.”

The hotel is situated directly on the harbour & is the perfect base for exploring Poole & the Dorset coast. The sea view from room 212 was lovely. The room was comfortable, nicely appointed & very clean. The staff were excellent & very helpful. Breakfast in the dining room overlooking the harbour was excellent, too. Highly recommended.

“Great Hotel”

Having stayed in another hotel in Poole the night before, this was 100% better. Every one of the staff were friendly and took an interest in you. Rooms/beds were very comfortable. Dinner was very good and breakfast excellent. On the down side, dont think you sould pay for car park if staying in the hotel!

It has been an absolute pleasure to have you at our hotel nttm_guy. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. Our staff is the biggest asset to us and I it makes me always very happy reading positive comments about them. Looking forward to welcome you back to the Thistle Hotel. More

Just returned from fantastic trip at Thistle Hotel in Poole. The Reception staff gave us a warm welcome and we were delighted to hear we had been upgarded to Sea view room.
