A very pleasant stay. Came on a special weekend with the future mum in law. Room was nice and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was superb. Am on a diet but had to put it on hold. The place is not contemporary, it's a traditional b&b. we came and went as we pleased. I have to admit I was a bit... More

My husband & I stayed at Hungercut Hall for three nights early October whilst awaiting the birth of our Grandson in nearby Ipswich. Both Jackie & John are wonderful people, warm & welcoming & very friendly. The house is a lovely old building with many interesting features. We stayed in the upstairs room which was large & comfortable & spotlessly... More

Stayed with my husband for two nights whilst visiting the area for a family party. This old house is full of character and is definitely a home, not a hotel. Host was very pleasant; check-in was quick, service was good and 'fuss free'. Room and en-suite were clean. Furnishings were adequate and inkeeping with the property. TV, hairdryer, kettle, etc.... Stayed in ground floor room 'Doris' found very noisy, every time a toilet is flushed elsewhere you hear it! Worst part was the bed very noisy spring double bed. Could not sleep at all so left @ just before 3am to drive home. Left note to explain as did not want to disturb anyone and rang to explain further in... More

Having just returned with my family from our 2nd stay at the excellent 16th Century Hungercut Hall, I can't thank the hosts, Jackie and John enough for making our visit so enjoyable. This unique 4 bedroomed b&b set in the Suffok countryside but with nearly links to the A14 and A12, is a gem; the decor, comfort and the wonderful... More

We stayed three nights here and it was a very pleasant stay. The location is ideal - plenty of car parking, handy for the A14 and for the pretty Suffolk countryside and villages. There are good eateries nearby - Knapps and the Highwayman. Our bedroom was very comfortable and supplied all we required. The bacon and egg breakfast was the... More

This was our first 4 nights in England and it was great. We slept in due to jet lag on the second day and that was no problem for a late breakfast. The place is older and adjacent to a highway but that did not matter as the room we had was on the backside and quiet and the traffic... More

I booked on laterooms and called en route on the Sunday I was staying to le them know, out of courtesy, that I was going to be arriving late. The response of complete shock was followed by a statement that they normally go to bed at 9pm and he'd have to stay up. I arrived at 11 to a locked... More

I assume this gentleman doesn’t realise that when a booking site states that check-in is between 4pm and 9pm, 9pm is the latest check-in time available. He had given an arrival time of 9pm when he booked, and when he rang at 8.45pm to say he wouldn’t arrive until 11.30pm and wasn‘t remotely apologetic about it, I must admit I... More

My husband. And I stayed here over Easter ! From the moment I booked this charming ever so warm bed and breakfast I knew how we would be treated. Treated we were to their home made delicious cherry jam and marmalade, and freshly laid eggs. Jackie the proprietor also bakes her own bread. There are hostels calling them selves bed... More

Really easy to find, just down the road from the main services off the a14/a12 junction. large room with really large bathroom, bed was comfy and room was warm despite being frosty outside. Please ignore the reviews that complain of the road noise, during the day you can just about hear traffic but from about 18:00 it barely registers and... More
