We had a very friendly welcome from Mac and the other staff who were all helpful and very flexible - nice not to have a rigid time for breakfast or checking out! Our room was fine with a comfy bed and nice en suite though we couldn't watch the TV at all as it was directly linked to the TV... More

Very disappointed on the whole, however the land lord was very helpful and friendly, paid £65 for a grotty room, dinner and breakfast was very poor, this place is just a pub that does food with some rooms to stay in at the building next door, I think the room was worth around £30 if I'm honest. Wouldn't go again.

The landlord and lady are charming and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and relaxing in every way. Great place to stay, within a stone's throw of Ipswich town centre and also the waterfront. Friendly hosts and a spacious room which was very clean. Free wi-fi and a hearty morning breakfast. I would stay here again!

Booked by my wife as I was still on the road at 2030 Arrived at 2100 and was still offered an evening meal. Although a fleeting overnighter I found The Shipwrights to be spotlessly clean and extremely welcoming

I stayed at the Shipwrights Arms Hotel last night and can honestly say it was first class. The staff make you so welcome you don't want to leave. The rooms are much better than the Premier Inn just down the road and it's not as expensive. I will certainly be back.
