This is a comfortable B&B fairly near the town centre (10 min walk) but in a quiet street with unrestricted parking. There's no off-road parking but not having to pay on the road is abig advantage in Eastbourne! The owners were friendly, offering a cup of tea on arrival. We satyed at Ivydene over the easter weekend, we have stayed in a few bed and breakfast / small hotels in Eastbourne over the years, but this was by far the most welcoming. Four of us occupied two rooms. I understand the double bedroom was ok in all departments. The twin bedded room on the second floor was in the roof and lacked space. I went for a 2 day break to this family run hotel. The bedrooms were very comfortable and very clean. The staff were extremely helpful and discrete. (They even printed me directions on the computer.) There is a private bar for guests and it was nice to order a nightcap and ask the owner about things to do the next... more
