I spent Christmas at the New Wilmington with my husband and mother who is 97. The management and staff were excellent and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. I can confidently recommend the New Wilmington Hotel in Eastbourne, having stayed there more times than I can remember since the 1960's. The Hotel is clean and well appointed. This hotel was one of the friendliest hotels I have ever stayed in.Staff could not do enough for me.My teenager daughter also loved the restaurant and food, which is very hard to beat..We ate there all the time from choice. Accompanied by daughter a wonderful break in spite of rain and gales. Good evening entertainment and enjoyed the 'Festive Weekend' with all the lovfely food. Staff so willing and helpful will return for another break. more

Recently spent an enjoyable, good value 4-day Turkey and Tinsel break here. The food was lovely, the staff very friendly and efficient, and our room comfortable, warm and clean. Thank you for your review of the hotel, I’m glad you had an enjoyable stay. As we are running our Tinsel & Turkey breaks, the entertainment does tend to go on slightly longer than normal. At most other times of the year, the music goes on to around 10:00 to 10:30.

The service at this hotel was excellent and the food was very good in the restaurant. However first impression was so bad I would probably not have stayed there if I had not paid a £60.00 deposit. Parking is a major problem outside the hotel so paying for a garage is a must, but the rear entrance from the parking... more
