The end of the glacier road, allowing for an early start to visiting the glacier (we didthe glacier safari on an inflatbale boat, which was fun). Excellent value for Norway - large rooms and bathrooms, very clean but basic. No phone or TV. Free internet in cafeteria. Basic breakfast (by Norwegian standards). Call ahead if you are coming late. Other places were booked but saw this mentioned in a travel book. Found comments to be fairly accurate with it being mainly a restaurant at the end of the road from Olden catering to tourists to the Briksdal glacier. We rented a car in Bergen and drove to Briksdal glacier, which was a beautiful drive. We stayed in a lovely cabin at the Briksdalsbre Fjellstove called Kvilsbu which had views of the fjord from the front porch, a waterfall behind it and the glacier to the right.
