Our party was a group of 6 of us and we decided to have a cheap random weekend to Oslo. Found this hostel on the top list on hostel world. We arrive around 3pm and checked in with no problem, paid for our bed linen which was 50NOK (£5) very clean, neatly iron and folded. My friend even hired a... More

Most things about the hostel are really average. However, some things to note if you plan to stay here: the breakfast discount down the street is, while perhaps quite cheap, very disappointing; also, the location, while fairly central, is in a somewhat sketchy area, and makes for some fairly negative travelling nearby the hostel. On the plus side, the rooms... More

We spent two nights there in November 2011 and there's absolutely nothing to complain about. Well, maybe weak WiFi signal in the rooms ;) But it's free. Besides this there is everything you might need in a hostel: small kitchen den and your own bathroom with shower. It's pretty close to the city center. You can reach it on foot... More

When we got here, the first I noticed was the atmosphere, was boring and no one was talking to anyone. There were two girls in the front desk, and they told us the basic things. Nothing helpful or friendly, just Ok. We took the breakfast of the hostel, that its next door in an indian restaurant. You can choose fruit(apples or... More

It is one of the cheapest options in the centre of Oslo, but still quite expensive (although you can hardly find anything cheaper and not so far from the Central station and the main tourist attractions - its location is the main advantage of this hostel: you can easily reach almost any place of interest by foot). The possilble drawbacks... More

I have used this Hostel for my last 4 trips to Oslo, Norway. It has been a perfect location, near the main street of town, the harbor, the palace, the train and bus stations, and more. It is somewhat simplistic - some bunk beds, some simple beds, but clean and friendly service. I have used this place for group trips. It... More

Booked to stay here because Oslo hotels seemed unbelievably expensive, as was this really for what it was. Have happily stayed in youth hostels in the past but something about this place really got me down. The area of Oslo around it is pretty grim and the notices in the hostel about security reinforced that feeling. However the hostel is... More

Hello, the Hostel was fine for a few nights. It was quite expensive compared to the area and the rooms you get, but is still one of the cheapest living posebilities in Oslo on average. As I have experienced Oslo is a very expensive city so this was a good alternative for me. The area is maybe not the best... More

We stayed here 2 nights for a city break over the weekend. There were 2 of us, and we booked a private room with bathroom. We got a 8 person dorm with private bathroom for the 2 of us - strange. Note they add linen charge (55NOK) per person, but for your whole stay. The linen is clean, but the... More

On arrival we got a standard room but we had booked a superior. However having seen the superior it was round the back of the hotel with a poor view! However the superior rooms do offer a nicer en suite. So you pay the extra for this. We decided to stay in the standard with the better view. And what... More
