4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 May 2012 NEW

We stayed here in February for a business trip. The location is perfect downtown and close to the Palace. I had read some mediocre reviews, saying that the accomodations are old and dated. However, I found that the hotel was still very nice and the service is top notch. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. I liked all of the... More

Fantastic location but very dated interior, it needs a complete renovation. I'll come back only if they upgrade. More

Stayed in this hotel with my husband and we managed to get an amazing deal. We had a gorgeous room and managed to have a very good night's sleep. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very good, and they were quite flexible as we did turn up for breakfast a little late each morning, My brother who... More

Great location in the most famous street of Oslo. 5 min walk from station. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast is great and is really 5 stars! Rooms are good but not perfect (little dated and could be cleaner). But the hotel has the nice atmosphere of 'a grand old lady'. Did there best to check us in really... More

I spent 3 nights here and really enjoyed it. Oslo is quite expensive so we hung out in the room a bit in the evening after dinner. The staff are really friendly and helpful. There is a fabulous spa and pool upstairs. The pool is more for relaxation than for kids as it's quite dark in that area, with low... More

My two nights at the Grand Hotel, Oslo were one of the nicest hotel stays of my life. My room was comfortable, spacious, and nicely appointed; the staff were unfailingly friendly, helpful, and pleasant to talk to; the location is unbeatable; the breakfast at the Grand Cafe was fantastic. I did have to contend with a little night club noise... More

Grand is probably Oslos most luxurious hotel. Excellent quality on staff and roomservice. Very nice and clean rooms with large beds. No traffic or street noise whatsoever. Situated at Karl Johan this hotel is located at the absolute center of Oslo. We ate at the Julius Fritzner restaurant at the hotel. Expensive, but absolutely wonderful 5 course meny with wine.... Stayed a long weekend last year. Read many reports here on Tripadvisor about noise from renovations and poor condition of not yet renovated rooms. Requested a quiet, renovated room but was sadly given a street side room in the 'new' part of the hotel. This is not in the characteristic 19th-century building they show you in the pictures, but a... More
