Having read the positive reviews of TripAdvisor, I decided to stay 2 nights at Meininger, Vienna, with my family. But I got a kind of disappointed. The "quadruple" room wasn't spacious enough. A hostel in the Meininger chain and to similar standards to the one we enjoyed previously in Berlin. Off centre location, but easily accessible by excellent public transport. A good reception desk which also advertises many of the local attractions and tours. Internet access near the lobby. Room clean with ensuite shower; buffet style breakfast is reasonable value. more

Its a bit far from the Sudbahnhof station.. you need to take a tram to reach there...but once you are there, it is one hell of a place. We stayed in a 4 bed ensuite private room. We stayed in a 8-bedded mixed dorm. The room is clean, with separate toilet and bathroom. Lockers are available in the room, with locks obtainable from reception with a refundable $5. Beds are clean. bed sheets included. Breakfast is superb at $3.90 Parking is slightly on the high side ($12 per day) Highly recommended more

Rooms were clean and beautiful - we had a four-bed room with a private bath and it was very nice.The location was great - right next to the metro stop. The lounge and bar downstairs were very nice and there seemed to be all sorts of people staying there - families as well as young people and couples. more

This is definitely supposed to be an optimal choice! Where can l start from? The metro station is just one minute away and it takes you to the city centre in just 5-7 minutes!
