I visited vienna to see some friends and to relax. Location is great, on the Opernring, near many of the other grand hotels, but also many of the sights - the Hofburg, Opera, Musikverein. Decor is typical le Mredien: stylish, slightly minimalist, but still full-service. Rooms are large and spacious with high ceilings. Comfortable, slightly minimalist furnishings. The minibar is... more

Could hardly fault a thing in this hotel. Great location, well designed, beautiful & comfortable huge room with massively high ceilings looking out on the Ringstrasse. Excellent breakfast & one of the better fitness centers I've seen in a hotel. Great value. I will be back. more

The modern design of the hotel still looks quite chic and the rooms were impeccable. I admit that the design sense was sometimes uneven (the elevators come to mind) but we still enjoyed the overall design. We had no problems with the free mini-bar and the person refilling it was more than eager to give us additional drinks when requested.... more

Firstly the positve...exceptionally good location and very efficient and friendly staff. However it has already been mentioned on other reviews about problem with overflowing water from shower to bathroom floor. Please do nor underestimate this as basically our bathroom resembled a pool on occasions. To be honest it is imcomprehensible how Sheraton group could allow such work be carried out and even... more

Me and my fiance stayed in Le Meridien Vienna just for one night on our way to Germany. Virginia, the lady in the front deski, was extremely friendly and helping and she offered us the PERFECT ROOM! It was at the 8th floor overlooking Ringstrasse and the St. Stefansdom rooftop. We were thrilled with the extra comfort bed, so that... more

good recognition of spg status despite the hotel seems to be a franchise. Maintenance of building is poor or hotel is used intensively. Young staff. Very central location. Decoration is similar to Le Meridien Hamburg (Scandinavian Dentist practice style !) more

We were celebrating our 30 year anniversary and splurged. Definitely worth it! Great location next to Opera house. Close to all tourist sites. Rooms are modern and sound-proof, beautifully decorated and well thought out. Bathroom was awesome! After a full day of sightseeing it was great to come back to have a drink in the sleek bar, and relax in... more

My fiance and I booked at the RADISSON SAS the alledged 5 star Hotel. Well, after the maid woke us up 3 times starting at 8 AM, having silver fish insects in the bathroom, the obnoxious bell hops and the maid waking us up again the following morning at 830 AM we moved over to Le Meridian. The desk rep... more

Dear vonhess. If someone from New York calls us „HIP, COOL, FUN!“ then it is somewhat like getting all Michelin Stars including the coolest hotel award. Thank you so much for this honour. But cool isn’t half as cool without the friendliness and attentiveness of our associates, which makes us even prouder, since this topic seems to have been satisfied...

In the midst of the Vienna is this lovely hotel. Travelling on business I'd like to say its good to have complimentary wireless broadband as well as the complimentary mini bar which had a small selection of drinks. The room whilst a little small was well equipped with everything you couple possbly need including, trouser press, iron and ironing board... more

Dear nabz72 Thank you for posting your experience @ Le Méridien Vienna. It is always interesting to read and learn how each individual illustrates his stay with us. Especially your observation of the glass used in the hotel room is an interesting one. Safety is a major issue, so to reassure you and others, all used glass in the rooms...

For my first trip to Vienna, I was very happy with the Le Méridien. The location is perfect: on the Ring, opposite the Opera House, very close to the shops of Kärtnerstraße, and very near the Karlsplatz U-Bahn station, which provided direct access to the Messe Wien convention centre. The front lobby and the rooms are very chic and modern,... more
