The Sacher has the reputation of being the Number 1 hotel in Vienna and I believe this is well deserved. The location couldn´t be better and the hotel has just undergone a major renovation. The rooms are very tastefully decorated with original artwork everywhere. The bathroom is lovely, I doubt there is any Carrara marble left in Italy! Service was... More

I went for a few drinks at the legendary "Blue" Bar at the Sacher (www.sacher.com/hotel-sacher-vienna/eat-and-drink-in-style/blaue-bar/). This place, within walking distance not only from the opera, but also from the "Naschmarkt", is still patroned by locals, so not just a tourist attraction. Immerse yourself in the elegant dark blue interiors and typical Vienna atmosphere decorated with crystal chandeliers, classic accessoires and... More

great romantic historic hotel. convenient location for all sites and dining and shopping and theater. Rooms are clean and very quaint with old-world charm. Service is decent (for central Europe). Of course the Sacher Torte is also very good. I would stay here again on return to Vienna.

Stayed recently with my elderly mother. We had a wonderful welcome and were even lucky enough to get a fantastic upgrade on our rooms. The staff were friendly and seemed keen to make sure everything about our stay went well, whether it was the reception staff, housekeeping, or the IT manager who sorted out my Wi-Fi problems (thanks Stefan!) This hotel was perfection. I was greeted by a doorman in full livery. Check-in was friendly and efficient. My room was beautifully decorated. I loved the chocolates and Sacher Torte arrival gift and the ten chocolates the maid gave me when she turned down my bed. Unfortunately it had a view of an internal area with pipes in it. It... More

We visit this hotel annually and has been doing this for the last 15 years. There have been some changes in this hotel over the years. They have made a lot of renovations and there are new young staff added to the traditional people we used to see there. As always this hotel has kept its hospitality and care. We... More

We will be back to Hotel Sacher in Wien. We had the most fantastic stay. Yes, it's a lot of money but well worth it (depending if you want the hotel to be part of the holiday or see it just as accommodation). Staff is very attentive, the interior of the hotel is beautiful, the room very luxurious and I... More

Stunning rooms with a chandelier and exceedingly comfortable bed. TV in the bathroom mirror, heated marble bathroom floors - very luxurious. Gorgeous spa with 3 different types of saunas - but it is a nude unisex area just so there are no surprises. You get a little sacher cake on arrival and on departure which is cute. It is a... More

The Hotel Sacher In Vienna is undeniably a good even very good hotel. Whether it reaches the pinnacle of hospitality in Vienna is another matter. The "cross branding" with its eponymous chocolate cake gives it a huge advantage (arguably a unique one - after all how many hotels are less famous than the cake that was originally named after them... Opposite the Opera House and so close to the historic palaces and museums, this hotel has a super location for a short stay in beautiful Vienna. Our room was very good, plenty of space, comfortable bed and a regal bathroom. The public spaces in the hotel are a little cramped and very period in style. Not to everyone's taste. Service... More
