We were very happy with the Imlauer, and would definitely stay there again. Since I used to live in Vienna I know the place very well, and I knew that you can generally get better hotel deals if you avoid the 1st district (the centre of town, where most of the sights are) and shoot for some of the districts... We booked the Nestroy but we were put in the Imlauer due to construction. Hotels are next to each other and actually connect on each floor. Nestroy is undergoing renovation and noise can be heard throughout building. Rooms at Imlauer are contemporary, average sized, and very clean. Bathroom also modern and clean!! Free TV in several languages is another plus.... More

Hotel sounded great on line but not truthful. Checked in (prepaid for good rate) found the lobby under construction, jack hamming noise obnoxious, sauna and fitness center not available because of the construction, bar area covered with construction dust, and the wine was old so we gave it back and left. The online description also said there were laundry facilities... More

Rooms are great. However, you need to order a Junior Suite. The Junior Suites have a great size for Europe. The hotel has recently been renovated and when we first arrived, we were placed in the downstairs area of the hotel. This was extremely noisy. My partner had trouble sleeping as you could hear bangs from upstairs until 3 in... More

We checked in 23rd December 2011, as per normal procedure at hotels, our credit card details were taken for security, and on 25th December 2011 our credit card was used to shop on the internet. Before, during and after our stay in Vienna we did not use our credit card as we had cash for our trip. I say no... More

The rooms are clean, neat and comfortable. The hotel is conveniently close to tram 2 station, tram 2 runs over the center and you can see the relevant sites from it. Parking space was very narrow and very expensive (20€/day). We didn't try the b-fast buffet: for less than 6€ you can have b-fast in cafés near by (b-fast buffet... More

My wife and I stay in room 536 at hotel Imlauer which was a junior suite in the main building during December. The location of the hotel is not in the best of areas, but it was easy enough to fine from the underground station with a five minute walk. Check in was simple and friendly, but we did not... More

Let me start by saying my travel agent originally booked us into the adjacent hotel, Nestroy (part of the Imlauer group). After being disappointed with that hotel we requested to be moved to the Imlauer after seeing one of the rooms. The room - we had a standard double room which was really nicely decorated with comfortable bed and a... More

The Imlauer and the Nestroy Hotels are next to each other and share reception & dining facilities. The reception desk is in the Nestroy Hotel. Rotensterngasse is a one way Street and both hotels are on the right. The Imlauer has been recently and very comfortably renovated and has been incorporated into the floor plan of the Nestroy Hotel. The... More

Room smelt very strongly of smoke. Air con didn't work so it was very hot (in December!) and stuffy. The only option was to keep the window open on a busy traffic street so was very noisy. Shower didn't work properly and leaked all over the bathroom floor. To top it all off, left phone in room by mistake and... More
