We drove into Graz with no itinerary - no reservations. Had lunch and strolled around the park a while before spying this pretty hotel. It was a bit expensive, and a little bit fussy. The room "looks" similar to the pictures on the internet, but you can't see the filthiness! My white socks were black on the bottom after taking off my shoes. After checking in, we went to look for another hotel room, came back to check out and they charged us a full night's stay - $273.49 US! We didn't even touch... more
Booked a suite via the internet. Upon arrival in Austria I phoned the Hotel for directions and was treated like an idiot! I thought maybe it was the language barrier. Have been staying in the hotel for some days and its great. The rooms have all air-condition, very quiet in night (no sound from traffic and double doors to the corridor) and excellent breakfast in morning. Its not inside the old town, but very close and easy to access by walking or tramp just a block from the hotel. more
