I was looking forward to staying here but the less than pleasant welcome and service offered by the female owner spoiled our stay. The male owner was friendly and served us well in the resturant where we had a lovely meal. Breakfast selection was average. We were disappointed when a "local" speaking guest was offered a cooked breakfast right next... More

Hi, We have stayed one night at this hotel following our visit to the StiftMelk. It is very functional, room was clean, staff was not too smiley to say the least but the food was great and so was the location not far from the highway. I would recommend for short stay unless you have business to do in the... More

This is a very clean, quiet hotel within maybe 15 minutes walking distance of Melk centre. It's location is excellent, just off the S1 motorway though you wouldn't realise this. The restaurant served very good dinners, we had boiled beef, which was fantastic. Would definitely stay again but, given that the hotel was a large garden, it would be nice... More

This nice hotel with modern rooms and parking is located at 20-25 min walking to the old center. Room was clean but without any extra- no shampoo, ... Breakfast was very good BUT the dinner was delightful, the best dinner we had in Austria!!! More

We recently spent one night at the Hotel Wachau. We had trouble finding it a bit and finding our way out the next morning. The rooms were well appointed but slightly dated. They did have a lot of nice extras in the rooms and comfortable beds. The restaurant is excellent! We made reservations for dinner ahead of time since it... More

We were driving along the Romantic Road toward Melk, and I called several hotels there to check on the availability & price of a quad room. This hotel offered the most reasonable rate. Our room was perfectly comfortable... one double bed and two twin beds for our young kids. We had dinner in the restaurant. My daughter particularly enjoyed her... More

This hotel is on the north bank of the Danube and the abbey at Melk could be seen obliquely from our room. It is too far out of Melk to walk but parking at the immense and splendid abbey is easy. The hotel is small and clean and very friendly. It has a restaurant which serves hearty local fare and... More
