Its location in the Gare section of Luxembourg means it is situated within the seedier part of town. The room is large with a double and single bed in there. The tv is located atop a 6 foot wardrobe which makes it hard to see and watch from bed after a hard day/ night of walking around the town. There... More

first of all, the appearance was very nice, romantic and clean. location was no problem, or rather, you dont have to worry about hotel's location in this small city. anywhere is within walking distance! we paid some 130 euros for one night stay, which turned out very reasonable or more than that, because we were satisfied with a clean room... Le Chatelet was the third hotel we stayed in on a recent auto tour of Belgium and Luxembourg. We reserved on Expedia and based on the rate selected an economy room. The room was very spartan, much like a dormitory room, and had two twin beds with thin mattresses on a platform of wood slats. We were on the ground... More

My husband and I spent 5 weeks traveling in Europe, nine countries. We took the train to this city and found our hotel late, after nine. It was an easy walk from the train station. Our room was across a small parking lot but was lovely on the first floor, with a huge bathroom and giant tub. It had a... More

Let me start with the hotel building itself. We'd got a superior room in the second building right behind the main one. However, the two are not connected - going to the reception, or the breakfast-room one has to step out and cross the parking lot. Not very pleasant in pouring rain or freezing cold, I must say! The building... More

When we arrived, our booking seemed to be lost - we had a print out of the booking, but they had no details themselves. A poor compromise was made for our first night, trusting that the rest of the stay would make up for it - it didn't and when we made it known we weren't happy, the man who... More

This was a very basic hotel but had firendly and accomdating staff. The location is good, a short walk from the centre. It was good value. More

This hotel was perfect for what we wanted: cheap, good breakfast, and walking distance to the city center. In going over some of the reviews for this hotel, we noticed that some people thought it was fantastic and others not. Those that did not must have had the room we had which was in the basement. The room was quite... More

After traveling Europe as a backpacker and staying in less than wonderful hotels, I was surprised by this place. The room was hard wood floor, and HUGE. The staff were fabulous, the area was gorgeous, within 20 minute walk of train station. About a 30 minute walk to the Old City ruins. The buffet breakfast was wonderful and the croissants... More

Nice look of the exterior of the hotel, very friendly receptionists speaking excellent English, cozy room with big lavatory, surprising buffet breakfast, comfortable lobby with trendy interior design, free access to internet, although 10 minutes walk away from the old centre, it's just 5-8 minutes walk to train station, and supermarket, bakerys along the road. We like it! More
