This is the second time that a group have stayed at The Wild Goose Lodge. There were just over 40 of us on both occasions. This is perfect for spending time with friends. We were a church group that were meeting: a load of 20 and 30 somethings, and so it had all the facilities we wanted. Ruth, who was... More

We booked in two groups of Y4 children on two different weeks in May, totalling around 60 children and 8 adults. The accomadation was good and the food quality and quantity was excellent. The staff looked after us really well and the packed lunches offered were very good.

Wild Goose Lodge and it’s excellent management team provided a perfect venue for our family celebration for 36 people ranging from 79 years to 6 months old. The children ran about in perfect safety and the main areas of the house and the games room provided ideal accommodation for party games, indoor bowling and dancing – often all at the... More

This was our base from which our choir went on tour around Gloucestershire. It was booked following a let down from another hostel regarding children and turned out to be fantastic! The rooms and beds were lovely, everyone had a good nights sleep! The hostle worked out really well for us as a large group; the catering facilities were excellent... More

A week before my son and his 30 friends were due to stay at Wild Goose Lodge I was rung and told that licensing arrangements had been changed; a bar had been installed on the premises. We could no longer supply alcohol (which had already been purchased) for the birthday party. A solicitor confirmed to me that my Contract with... More

I have been to Wild Goose Lodge for a large family gathering at Christmas and a weekend away with the girls. It has been a great location for both. The Lodge itself is spacious and extremely practical. Accommodation is basic – reflected in the price – but clean and functional. You can take your own food and use the large... More

Have just returned from Wild Goose Lodge having celebrated my 70th birthday with family and friends, 28 of us including ll children. We opted to have exclusive use of the Lodge for the Bank holiday and self-catered. We had a fantastic weekend. With 11 children we didn't want luxury, just somewhere comfortable, clean, relaxing and spacious and this certainly fitted... More

We've used this venue before despite the fact that someone had written a poor review about double booking and decided to re-book for a special celebration. Not only did they increase the price from the agreed amount by 30% but just a few weeks away from the event with everything else booked it became apparent they'd booked the wrong date... More
