Wow, what a place to stay. This was our first farm stay and we weren't expecting too much but what a lovely place to stay. The room was big, spacious and spotlessly clean with dual aspect views over the farm and on to the sea. Our room was so comfortable with comfortable bed and clean and modern bathroom...though the shower... More

Very clean and comfy rooms, excellent views of the farm and sea, delicious breakfast. It is not in Vik and it is a ways to drive to any restaurant. More

In South Iceland, off the beaten track, there are some working farms that provide accommodations to tourists. Guesthouse Vellir is one. The family raises horses and sheep. A little orphan lamb played by the side of the house, nibbling on the hedges. The room was clean, well organized, and comfortable. The very tiny bathroom was like most of the rural... More

This little magic place might make a believer of you. There is even an "elf church" in the field a few hundred meters away (see photo). Members of the congregation are said to help the farmers of the region when they've lost a horse or sheep or otherwise suffered hardship. But you don't have to be a believer to appreciate... More

This guesthouse was very cozy with a comfy bed and your basic amenities. I loved the view of the sheep out our window. The lady that owns this guesthouse is very nice and interesting to talk to. She can cook very good as well. We called ahead while on the road and ordered the full menu with soup, dinner and... More

We loved this farm stay near Vik. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. They cooked us a really great dinner, and great value if you are used to Icelandic restaurant prices! Rooms were modern and clean. Would highly recommend. More

We loved this guesthouse so much we didn't mind spending a night without tv and Internet. The accommodations are great, we enjoyed the luxury shower quite a bit. The best part of our stay was dinner- absolutely fabulous! I recommend making a reservation ahead and getting the "full menu". This consists of soup, entree, dessert. This lady can cook, probably... We stayed at a number of guesthouses/farmhouses during our Iceland trip. All were nice and comfortable, and provided breakfast. This place was the most 'commercial' feeling place we stayed at in the sense that it was more like a small hotel than a guesthouse. And I mean this in a good way. We had the place to ourselves that night,... More

I stayed in this guesthouse, and I personnally loved it, right under the glacier and the volcano Eyafjalljokull, in Southern Iceland. It was so very beautiful, so peaceful and tranquil, being where it is situated, in most probably one of the more unstable areas in Iceland. That could be a bit broad a statement, but thinking of what occurred in... More

Large, very clean room and nice bath. Nice farm location outside of vic. Typical breakfast. Our only issue was the lack of internet access. More
