Simple guesthouse with a good valued rate. Location was great since it was on a quiet street but close to the action. Rooms were average and many bathrooms while private were in the hallway. Recommended to those traveling through Reykjavik only needing a short stay. Special thanks to the kindness of the young lady working there who made sandwiches for... More

We have booked into 3 rooms apartment next to the guesthouse about 1-2 months ahead of our stay. I've received both phone and e-mail confirmation. After arrival we found out that our flat was rented out to someone else and 4 adult man with equipment for 10 dayys off-road trip were put instead into double room with 2 extra beds.... More

Great location!!! 3 blocks from downtown without the noise, in a very cute neighbourhood. Breakfast was top-notch. The owners are very helpful. Clean. Recommend highly. More

The quality is really great thinking of how cheap this guesthouse is! ( we visited the guesthouse in november, out of season) We stayed here 3 nights. The room was cozy, the beds are comfortable and its very clean. The breakfast was okey, nothing more. The guesthouse is very centric, only 4 minutes walk from the midtown. Perfect! We know... More

We stayed two nights in this place during our two week trip around Iceland, the first night and the last. The first night we were upgraded (free) to a flat in a different building. It was big, comfortable and clean. The last night we were in a big double bedroom (private facilities) which was fine. Breakfast buffet was great, and... More

My friend and I stayed eight days at the Guesthouse Isafold because they were running a stay for four nights, pay for three promotion. Pros: Guesthouse Isafold is a five minute walk to the downtown area, but it's settled in a quiet residential neighborhood, so we didn't hear any noise from the street. The breakfast was my favorite part of... More

My wife and I booked a room with Isafold through an online booking site which we then confirmed by email with Gunnar Gunnarsson (the manager or owner). However, when we arrived as scheduled, we were shocked and disappointed that our reservation had been lost, ignored, double-booked it’s not completely clear. We showed our confirmation and email correspondence to Gunnar who,... More

We stayed at the Isafold twice during a 2 week touring holiday in Iceland. A little tricky to find (and get out of) in the old town one way traffic system. Car parking was a little tight in April and will probably be more difficult in peak season. A friendly welcome from Gunnar (and his dog!). The first, ground floor... More
