In the not incredibly popular area of Akranes we found this little "pearl" - a quiet, tidy and cosy hostel with extremely helpful nice staff and hosts. An actual three bed room which is quite hard to find. Nice staff and good standard! Akranes is not much of a town but we just spent one night here before returning to Reykjavik. A very large room with 2 big windows with a view on the nereby harbour. Very clean, quiet and bright. A large kitchen, well equiped and large dining room. Bathrooms were perfectly clean. Newly renovated and furnished with all the extra's you would expect in a good hotel. New bathrooms and spotlessly clean. Is situated in a pleasant side road not far from the harbor and shops.
