There is a major renovation by the looks of it from the outside. This is not apparent on the website. However it's close to many cultural places, and within walking distance to the centre. Best check with the hotel current situation.

Stayed at this hotel with cosmos tour. Furnishings are already outdated. The location is nice and just walking distance to the city proper. I believe renovations have started. Would be a better hotel when one, I,m sure.

All major things are ok, but there were too many small details that did not work. I do not recommend. The other Scandic -hotels are better. The Q-park is far and expencive. No real problems with this hotel. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The service in the hotel's restaurant was a bit slow on the evening that I ate there. The decor has a 1980s feel to it but I think that they have started redecorating some of the floors.

We where in Helsinki for a weekend. Rooms are small but clean. There are some renovations going on - but it's not noisy. It is really time, that the start renovating this building... If you want to stay out of the very city center but still close. Nice park outside which is ideal for running. There is a lake with a path around. Airport buses and tram just outside, very convenient. Scandic is sort of value for money, no luxury but good quality.
