After 20 years I wanted to stay in this legendary hotel, but couldnt realize where the word legendary is coming. Of course the view is stunning in the morning sun and the location is nice. Also the reindeer meat with smashed potatoes is still a good choise, but the reception, rooms and nightclub are far from the standard of today.... More

Nice, high quality hotel. Room was quite spacious and had a great view just for the river and the bridge. On the other hand its located just down by the main street, so close to all the safari companies, restaurants and pubs. Staff was always helpful in getting information and even making some phone calls.

A large old hotel, set by the Kemijoki river, large windows with imperssive river view. Walking distance from Rovaniemi pedestrian mall. Also close to winter sports services Lapland Safaris. We were dwelled in this hotel within the frame of a tour group. The room was large, luminous with TV and LAN connection but WiFi only against payment (2.50 Euros/24 hrs). It's hard to put your finger on what is wrong with this place - it's in a great location, with incredible views out over the river from the restaurant and some of the rooms, but it could do with a complete overhaul. 4 adults in two rooms being put next door was handy for us. The location of the hotel was close to the river, town centre, next to snowbmoile centre, 10 mins drive to all other attractions, rooms were clean and comfy, pool cleanand enjoyed a swim before enening meal, only let down was no safe or tea/coffee making facilities,
