Before arriving I checked TripAdvisor reviews about this hotel, but they seems quite negative. So I was expecting quite a bad "road-side hotel". It still is that of course, but the standard is quite good. The rooms are very big (more like Superior Room than Standard Room), have coffee/tea, big flatscreen TV, bathtub, comfy bed,... We stayed here because we thought it would be convenient, however, that was not the case. Although visible from the highway, we had trouble finding our way to the entrance. I stayed at Wåxnäs Hotel between 12-13 of April 2007 and the main reason (except a business trip to Karlstad), was the facts that the hotel was cheap (about ½ the price of city hotels) and it was very easy to access. The hotel is located 2-3 km outside the city center and very easy to find along the highway.... More
