Based on a lovely little semi rural island 4 t-banna stops from the centre of Stockholm, rooms are converted prison cells and very clean. You can stay Hostel style or in private rooms with en-suite. Friendly staff, good food and very reasonable (which in Stockholm makes it unique). This is the second time I've stayed here when on business in... More

No grumbles at all: Staff were ALL friendly, helpful and courteous. Room small as expected but full of character. We stayed in the museum area which was very interesting. Showers and toilets were very clean. We had breakfast once which was more than adequate with tremendous variety. Used the kitchens on other days which had everything required including personal fridge... More

We stayed just one night which was perfect for us. Sleeping in an ex-prison could be seen as a bit of a young backpackers delight, however we were just looking for a bed for the night that didn't cost a small fortune in Stockholm. Pretty much everything is adequate, with small rooms a given. I was surprised the wi-fi worked... More

Recommended by a friend who lives close by, this was a gem of a hotel after a week in the gorgeous Swedish countryside. Ten minutes by underground to Gamla Stan or a gentle forty minute walk along the water side. The rooms are well appointed but small if you take a single (which was a bunk bedded twin and impossible... More

I stayed here in May during the busy month of May and when I was proposed this hotel by the travel agency I did not hesitate as the price was ok compared to what is saw the week before. Very friendly staff, a great experience, clean rooms, ok a bit small, but you know where you are going where you... More

On an almost car-free small island, about 20 min walk from central station, this converted prison is a great hotel, like a small nature paradise in the middle of Stockholm. Ask for their special offer starting at SEK 500 per night. Free fast wi-fi in all rooms More

Nice and peaceful area, but even very close to the city. Room very nice and a lot of space. Great breakfast in lovely breakfast room. Ineresting living in an old prison, more "fun" than an ordinary hotel. More

Stayed here in a private room for four nights, purely because of the prices in Stockholm. It was difficult to find using the map - I suggest following the directions attached to confirmation if you book in advance. I doubt there would be a double room within the hostel as I imagine most private rooms are bunk beds like ours... More

We stayed at the hotel for two nights which is probably all that we could have taken because of the small rooms. But we knew about them ahead of time so I am not complaining about them. Luckily the temperature was cool at night otherwise it definitely would not have been a good stay since the masonry building really retains... More

I stayed two nights 14-15 May 2009 as part of a busines visit to Scandinavia. The prison theme has been done very well and it feels like a historic building, but he finishings such as the en suite bathrooms are of a very high standard with excellent attention to detail in the small bedrooms or cells - it feels a...
