I booked this hotel last year and stayed there last weekend (18th May 2013) as we were visiting the Eurovision Song contest in Malmo Sweden. Centrally located and only an 8 minute walk from Copenhagen Central Station. From the outside it looked quite impressive with its Red Carpet, and grand stair entrance, but upon entering it was like I'd gone... More

I booked this hotel as a last minute resort, as i had to find somewhere to live in copenhagen on a Saturday. The price was extremely expensive ($304/night) compared to the rooms and facilities that you'd get anywhere else. though it was because of overbooking in all hotels in copenhagen due to the Carnival. Had stayed in a superior double... More

i stayed here in February 2013 and to be honest I was under whelmed. The room was extremely small and cramped. Also, We had a kitchenette that had an extractor fan, pots and pans but no cooker...?? I know Copenhagen is expensive, but this was just too expensive for what it was....It was ok for the days we were there... More

Old hotel renovated to bring it into the 20th (yes, 20th) century. Floors creak! Rooms are quite small but adequate. There are no tea facilities or mini bar (small fridge here), no power point in bathroom; good shower and really comfortable beds. Reasonable value (for a Scandinavian country...bring lots of money when travelling in this area!). Recommended for 1or 2... More

We stayed one night before getting on a cruise ship, and the hotel was very good. We took a cab to the hotel, but it was very close to the train station that we arrived at from the airport. It's a nice neighborhood to walk around in, and not far from the pedestrian shopping area near the main square of... More

My original review, providing only one star, was recorded in anger as even though this is a very convenient and economic hotel at the city centre and near the railway station, my impression was damaged from the beginning for quite a few reasons. At first I was given a room at the 3rd floor, which, being an attic, was too... More

Stayed here for two nights. The reception and all the staff were friendly and matter-of-fact which is a trait I like. The location of the hotel is very good as you can walk to most places. The room was on the small side, but quite adequate for my needs, and I especially appreciated the free wifi that was easy to... More

Having stayed at several other hotels in Copenhagen in the past, we chose the Ascot for a second stay in April 2013. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to all the major attractions and also within a block or two of the train. The hotel is an old building, but that is to be expected in the City... More

The biggest asset of this hotel is its location. It is positioned right in the heart of Copenhagen and within walking distance from all major attractions. The hotel building is old and at places it looks a bit tired. It must have been renovated in the last couple of years although some of the furniture look like the came from... More

Hotel is lovely, my room was very spacious and cozy. We didn't try breakfast. The only thing that disappointed me is the staff. At front desk, staff really cold. Not unfriendly but not even nice. The only question regarding info about the city was answered in very superficial way. Also, we came back from city sightseeing around 3pm and they... More
