After 2 friends recommended we stay here, we changed our previous reservation to stay at the Hotel Hydra. We arrived on the last Flying Dolphin Catamaran, and caught the last donkey to bring our luggage to the hotel (no cars on the entire island). I was reluctant to pay the 10 or 20 Euros for donkey, but there's no way we would have found the hotel otherwise. After climbing over 100 steps to the hotel, Dimitri, the owner greeted us, and upgraded our room to one with a better view, while keeping the rate he promised for a smaller room. I will always remember the views from our window, looking down over the town, the moonlight spilling over the mountain, and the reflections from the boats on the water in the harbor. Don't let the small trek scare you away, it worth every step to get there. There was a great restaurant about 50 yards towards the harbor from the hotel, which offered equally amazing views down into the city and port.
