After I miscalcuated the driving distance to my chosen accommodation I had to cancel and find somewhere last minute. The neon lights of this hotel were the first I saw and being very tired after a long day travelling I hoped this would be a good alternative. The price quoted was very reasonable and the reception area looked acceptable so I happily checked in.
Our room on the fifth floor was basic, the shower controls were a little stiff and difficult to control but good once it got going. The bathroom and bedroom were generously sized. Our window looked out onto a menagarie of building site, occasional barking dogs and (non smelly) rubbish. However with the window closed this didn't affect us at all. Breakfast was sufficient with fresh bread, real(!) cornflakes and adequate orange juice albeit from concentrate. The lift was a bit creaky and worried me a little during the 30 second elevation. No air conditioning in the rooms but as it was October this wasn't a major problem...
