Stayed here for four nights in June as part of a Business trip. The room was a good size, had an arty feel to it. The bathroom was nice and modern; both room and bathroom were cleaned to a high standard. Had a balcony, the view wasn't to be desired but I wasn't staying at the hotel to sit out... More

I stayed at the Astoria earlier this summer (June 2011) for about 2-3 days. The concierge was amazing and provided me a bigger room since I was staying at the hotel for three days. The hotel is right by the historical centre and not too far from the marketplace. Most things are pretty much within walking distance, but those that... More

My room was beautifully decorated but very small. The bathroom was so small it was almost impossible to move around in it. However the bed was very comfortable and I got a good nights sleep. There was however no balcony with my room. Breakfast was very nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were unlucky and it... More

I visited Heraklion city with my wife for a weekend stay and booked Astoria hotel because of its location in the historical centre and next to the market. The room of the hotel was comfortable but the balcony was rather small. The staff of the hotel was very polite while the breakfast was really very good. I recommend this hotel... More

The mini bar and restaurant are expensive,do not use them, you can drink and eat much cheaper in 5... More

The hotel was clean and comfortable but we did not like staying in the centre of town. Convenient to the bus stop to visit Palace of Knossos. Centre of the nightlife in Heraklion with the main square across the street from the hotel. A couple of nice outdoor cafes across from the square with excellent spagetti bolognese. Lots of shopping... More

We originally had reservations for the Marin Dream hotel but when we got there, they told us they were over booked and were moving us to the Astoria Capsis Hotel. We were a bit disappointed since the Marin Dream was right on the water and the Astoria Capsis is a bit more intown. Once we got there we were pleasant... More

This hotel is centrally located and ideal to explore Heraklion on foot. The rooms are really nice, the the roof pool and bar offer you a very nice view of the city especially at night More
