We booked this hotel online, using booking.com. Sometimes, a hotel doesn't meet our expectations because it is described as more than it really is. But, in this case, the Pythagorion exceeded them! It is a very nice hotel, well-maintained, with excellent service and accomodations. And it is right in the heart of Athens, close to the metro, and walking distance... more

Pretty sketchy outside this hotel, saw about 7 drug deals in 2 minutes. Once inside, hotel was really nice, free internet access, rooms were cozy, nice flat screen tv, breakfast was decent. Had to take a taxi to the bus stop at 3:45am and was 12 euro for about 3 minutes...big ripoff. more

Do not believe the reviews that say Athens is dangerous; just be wary and street smart. The area of the hotel and city are somewhat rundown and grungy, but I felt safer than I do in NYC and I am a native. Hotel staff was helpful in recommending restaurants and general information. Fresh sheets, soap and towels every day! Breakfast... more

This place is located in Omonia area and about a 5-10 minute walk from the Omonia Metro station. It was a little bit difficult to find at first because the map right outside the Metro station wasn't very informative. Similar to other reviews, I would also just recommend this place for one or 2 nights. It does its job for... more

Our best wishes to good success for them and for the others that we couldn' t take photos as well as Kostas and others. Thank you very much, folks!!!! I hope one day you can be able to visit... more

This hotel was a great value-it was very clean and new, had a great breakfast and was within walking distance of the Plaka, Central Market, the Acropolis, the Temple of Zeus, the Olympic stadium, museums, and much more. Costas was very helpful to us during our stay and was really friendly too. I had read things about pickpockets and prostitutes... more

First, I was a little put off by alot of the recent "reviews" knocking the hotel staff (i.e. rude, unhelpful, etc) So needless to say, I was hoping for the best, and expecting the worst. During our 3 night stay, I personally spoke with 4 different gentlemen working the front desk and EVERYONE was helpful and polite. (especially, the "late... more

You get what you pay for and when the BW Pythogorium was one of the best deals we could find for a recent two night stay, we weren't expecting the Ritz. We were expecting clean rooms and pleasant staff in an average hotel. What we got was nightmare staff and a dumpy room. The front desk was staffed by simply... more
