Right on the coast of Athens. Beautiful views from our balcony. Room service was good as was the breakfast where there was plenty of choice. Would recommend this hotel for anyone who wants value for money. Nice hotel.

The reviews I read were a great help- tips about bus to get from airport- just bear in mind you can get a ticket on this bus evidently, or at a kiosk at the airport, BUT the bus only stops if you press the red button. We missed our stop because although we were aware of which stop to get...

Nice hotel, close to Kalamaki marina, next to beach. Definitely not four star hotel but clean and with nice staff. Good breakfast. Direct connection by bus with the airport (45 minutes) and by tram with the city centre (also 45 minutes).

As two families with adult children, we enjoyed 10 nights at The Tropical while attending the 2011 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Athens. Greek Taverna, recommended by reception staff, 700 metre walk away. Turn right...

The room was lovely and large and full of lots of useful bits and pieces - complimentary slippers and a bathrobe definitely enhanced our welcome. Unfortunately, there is only one cot available and another child was using it. The heating was on full blast and it was impossible to open the window without being blasted by noise from the street...

We stay here in October so had little chance to swim in the see. But waling along the beach is also nice. Tropical Hotel is just on the beach in Alimos area, but very far from Athina's city center.
It's at the bus stop "5 Kalamakiou" of Airport Express X96, costs 40 EUR to take a taxi from/to the airport....
