Nicely modernized and decorated hotel. Helpful staff. Our room was only 44 euros/night including breakfast. However, the air conditioning did not work well despite our calls to the front desk.(The AC was separate in the room, but didn't react to the room controls. It appeared to be controlled at some other location.) If you had a room on the street... More

We were two ladies on holiday in Athens for 6 days in early May, and had a comfortable stay at the Athens Lotus. The hotel in very conveniently located just one block off the Metaxourgiou Metro stop, although the area is not exactly salubrious or charming. However, to be fair, nowhere in Athens is salubrious or charming. So, once you... More

7m² room for 2 persons. No space for suitcases, no space even for a Laptop... In the official page of the hotel, http://www.athenslotushotel.gr/index.php?page=stay THEY SAY THAT : combined with the comforts of a truly pleasant stay. All the rooms were renovated in order to offer comfortable accommodation for two. NO WAY, YOU CANT BREATHE IN THERE, even if you are... More

I was in Athens for 10 days, first I stayed at the Novotel for 3 days as I was only meant to be in Athens 3 days but then it got extended because of the Easter Holidays so I moved to the Lotus Hotel based on the review, I sincerely wished I didnt. I had a friend of mine with... More

The Lotus is a great hotel option for travelers who prefer to stay away from the real center of town but close enough to enjoy the essentials of Athens. This hotel is located a stone's throw away from the Metaxourgio metro station. Line 2 is just a few stops away from the center of historical Athens (Akropoli) and the main... More

The staff at the Lotus is very helpful and friendly. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The breakfast has a lot of choices. It is not just a typical "Continental Breakfast" like we get in the US. There is a charming restaurant right across the street which was perfect for the first night. There is also a Hop On Hop... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Athens Lotus Hotel for 5 nights very recently. (I joined tripadvisor specifically to leave a gleaming 5* review of this hotel.) We arrived via taxi from Syntagma Square as I'd heard the area was really rough, but we had no problems at all. There were always people around, but we'd recommend getting the... More

My wife and I stayed here for a 2-day city break. It is easy to review, because everything about the hotel and staff was nigh perfect. If fault has to be found, I can say that the coffee at the breakfast was not the best. Others have commented adversely about the neighbourhood. It was not as bad as we had... More

Conveniently reaching the hotel by metro, at first we were dismayed by the neighborhood, in which the beautiful renovated hotel stands out like a pearl in a broken display case! But the comfortable hotel and superb, helpful, friendly staff made our stay, helping book day trips, giving us directions for getting around Athens and general charm. The room was sparkling... More

My 3 grown up daughters and I have just spent 3 nights at this hotel. We had a family suite which consisted of 2 double rooms accessed through a main door leading to a private corridor. This meant that we could leave both room doors open as it was totally private. This would be ideal for parents travelling with younger... More
