I was in a bind to find lodging at the last minute to go see the redbull air race in Porto, unable to find a room at a decent price (read below 400 euros a night) I scoured the net and came up with Residencial Palanca... I called them up and although unable to accomodate me on staurday I was able to book 2 nights from sunday on.

There was no need to supply any info, just requested I check in. Since I would be busy till 5pm they just requesed a call confirming my presence in Porto.

The personel were top notch, very helpfull with maps and instructions on how to get around. For those with cars the Palanca has private parking free of charge u just need to request a spot when you book your room.

I was given a room on the 1st floor towards the back, this was a good choice as the front of the hotel faces a very busy street. The carpet was not what I would call perfect, stained here and there but overall the room was very clean, the beds were a bit soft... more
