The hotel was under a refurbishment process. There was no parking, due to the construction, but no warnings on the booking site. Friendly staff. Bad location, specially at night. Nice bathroom for a 3 star hotel. The internet doesn't work well. You would expect much more from an international chain.

We arrived in Porto later in the evening, early October 2011. We booked a transfer from the airport to the hotel beforehand. The drive took approximately 20 minutes. The hotel is situated on a hill. Once in Porto, if you decide to walk a lot, you'll find out very soon that the city is actually full of hills :-) you...

When we arrived in Porto by train, we got on the metro and went only till the Balhao station and we had to walk with our luggage to the hotel on a very abrupt street. After we got hold on a map, we saw that the trip would have been a lot easier if we would have stopped at the...

The hotel is very nice. Our room was a decent size with a comfy bed and a nice bathroom. The breakfast was great. Lots to choose from. The wi-fi only worked in the reception but was free (access codes provided on request). The staff were friendly and the hotel was a great base for exploring. The only downside is the...

We had a great time staying at the Tryp Porto Centro hotel at the beginning of June for three weekend days. The hotel is located just outside the main touristy downtown area, but close enough to walk pretty much everywhere you'd want to go. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, not at all noisy, and the staff was very...

The Tryp Porto Centro was a decent place to stay and not too far from the centre of the city.
The staff were well-presented, amiable and helpful when providing directions and information about the city.
My room was clean, well-decorated and offered reasonable value for money, and allowed me to have a good night's sleep.
The buffet breakfast offered plenty...

The hotel was a little out of the centre but only took about 15 minutes to walk and the metro station was a 5 minute walk. The hotel was extremely clean and the staff very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast had a very large selection of items available and was to a good standard. The room was small but provided us...

Stayed for one night in July. The room had a window so small it was something like out of Alice in Wonderland. The bed was hard. Bathroom was clean but old. Staff were friendly and spoke English, but gave me wrong information on train lines and somehow managed to charge me twice, although later (much later) sorted it out.

Excellent modern 3 star hotel - well located - quiet but only 5 minutes walk to metro and 20 minutes to city centre. Front desk staff were extremely helpful and efficient. Room was attractive, bright and spacious with good lighting and very comfortable large bed and pillows, as comfortable as the 4 star hotels we had used. Unlike every other...
