This place was noisy, dirty, smelly, asked to leave. Was full of noisy group of teenagers running through the halls. We didn't like it at all.

I booked at Solar residencial san gabriel and we were redirected to this pension.
Even if it's a pension, that was totally TERRIBLE. The room was terrible. The beds were not clean. We heard noises from other rooms.
Breakfast was ok...

This is a pensao - not a hotel. It offers minimal services and zero ameneties. There's nothing wrong with the property per se - it's a two star pensao. If that's what you're looking for, you won't be disappointed. But we were three weeks in Europe and had already stayed in some less-than-stellar places, so when we arrived in Porto...

The hotel was very basic and definitely deserves 2 stars, not 3. The included breakfast was okay but the beds were uncomfortable and everything was very old. The hot water in our shower only worked half the time, and the sink turned on whenever the shower was on (and vise-versa). The bathroom and sheets were clean but one of our...

Read many varied reviews about this hotel before we went so weren't really expecting much. The hotel was very dated and old fashioned and in a very bad state of disrepair. However we only paid £30 per couple per night for B&B so can hardly complain about that! The rooms were spotlessly clean, and towels changed every day. The breakfast...

The hotel is more 2 star than 3 but we got what we paid for. Clean towels daily and the location (BATHALA) is brilliant for the centre of town, the metro station, the main line station, a short (if steep) walk to the ribeira quarter and the bus station. The lady on reception was helpful and pleasant. For an excellent...

On arrival the reception area looked promising, however, the desk staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. The room smelled strongly of fish and chips/fried food, no matter how long you had the windows open for. The bathroom was dated and inadequate, the walls had big dents in, and the carpets were rank and I didn't want to walk barefoot on them....

Residencial Aviz is located a short always from Porto’s main commercial/shopping area (5 min walk). There are a few local cafés and restaurants close by. It is also a short walk (10 mins) from the Sao Bento train station / Metro station. You can take the metro from the airport to Sao Bento, making a change at Trindale metro station....

When we eventually found the hotel, we thought it was "quite off the beaten track", but it was actually very central to a big shopping area in Porto. There are a couple of metro stations about 5 minutes walk from the hotel, which was really handy. You can get the metro direct from the airport to the metro station close...

We wanted a central hotel at a reasonable price and that is exactly what we got!
43 euros for a double room including breakfast. Unbelievable value.
The hotel is about a 10/15 minute walk from the central sites/port warehouses.
The rooms are a bit threadbare but they are spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. There is a slight smell of drains...
