It is one of the best value for money hotels you can find in Oporto. Rooms furniture is a bit dated, but yet comfortable. Great view from room and restaurant, were the breakfast is served. Breakfast is OK. Location is good, near the S. Catarina street and the metro station (marques). There is a night club in front of the... More

This hotel is awful. We booked this for one night ( 2-rooms ) with my family but could not stay. The rooms smelled of urine, the fire-doors were locked shut and the area was run-down. It claims to be a 4-star hotel which is a total joke - I would'nt give it 1-star. I would recommend you check into the... More

Pros: friendly and helpful staff, free parking, great breakfast with amazing views over Porto, comfortable rooms with great views as well, extremely cheap and unbeatable rates, quiet rooms Cons: a little old (but not a big deal), not really any bathroom ammenities, air conditioner barely works (got a little warm but it wasn't bad even in the height of summer),... We booked this hotel based on the reviews on this site and think that some of the previous reviews concentrate on the positives of this hotel a bit too much (friendly staff, free parking, great views, crazy 60s decoration). We felt that although it was clean, it was a bit shabby in places (particularly the bathroom and the restaurant ).... More

We had just one night in Porto arriving late and leaving early but staying here meant that we had a wonderful meal in the hotel restaurant with views across Porto and then fabulous daylight views from our room the next day. The restaurant is like something from a James Bond film - apparently one of the best places to eat... More

If you think the reviews for this hotel are too good to be true, then resist your scepticism and don't hesitate to book a stay at this wonderful hotel. Everything reviewers say is true: 60's time-capsule, great restaurant, breathtaking views and staff who, tho shy, cannot do enough for you to make you feel at home. We were slightly concerned... What a great place to stay. My boyfriend and I normally stay in smaller hotels or b+bs as we don't like the identikit places. Miradouro fitted the bill amazingly. I would agree with everything that other visitors said - do pay the extra for the 11th floor rooms if you can get it - the view is amazing and it... More

I stayed solely on the basis of reviews from Trip Advisor. It really was a 60's/70's 'time capsule'. Only 60 Euros made it a real bargain. Make sure you ask for a corner room on the top floors. Two walls of glass give you fab views of the city. Wonderful staff and when we missed our flight, they didn't even... More

Previous reviewers had mentioned the sixties decor and before I booked, I was a little bit curious about what they meant. Basically, Albergaria Miradouro is a very clean and perfectly preserved time capsule of an upscale hotel circa 1968. The strangeness of it is a huge part of the charm. Not surprisingly, the guy at the front desk told me... More
