with the budget of Corporate Joe. Excellent place, take a deep breath of history. Attentive staff, nice park, pool, Only minor aspect is limited internet, but do you really want to spend your time surfing when staying here?

I really can recommand this hotel, an amazing pousada! The staff is very friendly ande the interior of this pouada and the garden are wonderful!We stayed there for two nights but we surely will come back. Spring was now a very little in the air. In the spring but also in summer it will be also fantastic to be there.

To stay here is a "privelege", in such a magnificent monastery, with beautiful living/eating rooms, and very comfortable (sleeping) rooms. Great view to Guimarães. Very pleasant garden. The pool must be refreshing in the summer, with view to the city as well. Very friendly and helpful staff.

If you want to have a enjoyable stay in terms of rest and good food (home made) in a nice and calm place near an interesting historical center (about ten minutes by car) I suggest you this Pousada. At the city center you have a large choice of sweet shops selling "conventual" specialities (like "toucinho do céu", "tortas", ...).
