As the apartment is actually located in town, about 2 minutes from the Cathedral the location gives you easy access to the majority of tourist attractions such as marina, cable cars, Madeira story, wine lodge etc. As it's a an apartment rather than a hotel, expectations shouldn't be that high. The hotel was very good. The resturant left something to be desired. Breakfast was cold not very much to choose from. The lights in the hallways were controlled by motion detectors I walk into dark hallways more then once till the lights came on. Nice 3* hotel, convenient location right behind the cathedral, from where you can easly visit (those few things you have in) Funchal. Breakfast needs to be improved: after 9 o'clock you will find left-overs...No parking in the nearby..oh well, there's a public parking ( Euro 4.50 per day) at about 100mt from hotel...not comfortable at all if you carry luggages... more
