Good, welcoming staff. Clean, quiet, aircon and free wifi---what is not to like? Add to that, a 1.5 litre bottle of water is Eur2 only--as against take the "p" prices in many hotels and it keeps on being a good bet. I would use it again, like a shot.

This was my first stay in an Ibis and I was very pleasantly surprised. The rooms are super clean and functional, making good use of the modest space, and have superb sound insulation - two sets of double-glazed windows, both of which open if you like fresh air (there's also AC, of course). I like the Ibis chain. This was our second one we stayed at on our vacation. I would not stay at this one again though. The staff was just adequate and seemed irritable. The location on the hill was inconvenient to get to the train. And the food you could order was of poor quality.

The Ibis at Liberdade is what you would expect from an Ibis. The rooms as small, but so are most in Europe.
