Located on the former building of Viseu's hospital, the rebuilding was excellent. Beautiful structure, very good rooms and nice restaurants. The bar in the middle of the building was an fantastic idea just lacking a little bit more of ambiance (music or something else). The staff was very friendly and always willing to help you. more

A pousada opened in this 19th century former hospital in February 2009, after major transformation. It's located in a quiet area, at walking distance from the city centre. The pousada is a big building with an enormous covered patio and large corridors, giving a somewhat monastic impression (I wonder how it is heated in winter!). Rooms are spacious and well... more
