Good price, good location and very friendly and helpful staff. Room was big & clean, as was the bathroom. Breakfast ok - fresh bread and Euro3 each for access to vending machine for coffee etc which was a good brew! Would recommend.

The place was being refurbished at the time we stayed there, but nobody cared to inform us beforehand, even though we booked our rooms in advance. The price is good and the location is really good. Just in the center. On the one side there is a beautiful park, on the other it is main street of old Town. The lobby looks great, stuff is the most helpful (Only in five star hotel in Nazare I've met the same) I have met in Portuguese. The minuses... More

Really helpful friendly staff. The decor of the hotel was old world charm, large & clean. The bathroom was more modern & clean. Had a great view of the river & really close to all the city sites. Great Indian restaurant next door. For the price paid it is great value for money.

Near the shopping district and not far from the historic center of Coimbra, Avenida is a neat place to stay in. The location is great and it's not expensive compared to most of the other possibilities the city has to offer. The new management is trying hard to improve the place. We'll be back!
